Overview
The Tepee Program,
located at Cedar Elementary
School, offers a full-day
program for four-year old
children of Hanover school staff
and a half-day program for Cedar
School kindergartners. The
Program was created in 1988 and
is supported through tuition
paid for by the parents of the
children in the program. Tepee
provides a variety of rich
experiences and stimulating
activities including arts and
craft activities, computers,
songs and finger plays, games,
circle-time, story-time, indoor
and outdoor play. The Tepee
Program runs from Monday through
Friday, following the same
holidays, vacations,
professional development days,
and snow-day cancellations as

With the exception of Tuesday A.M. kindergartners (who have lunch during kindergarten) all children will have their lunch during their time at Tepee. Please be sure to provide a drink with your child’s lunch or send in .50 for milk. We provide a mid-morning and mid-afternoon snack and drink for all of the children during their Tepee session. Please do not send anything at lunchtime that needs to be heated. Buying the school lunch is not an option. Parents are responsible for informing the Tepee staff of any allergies their child may have. In the case that any child is allergic to peanuts, the Tepee room will become “peanut free.”
