A
BIG round of applause to the staff of the
TePee Program in celebration of 23 years of successful service in the Hanover Public
Schools.
On November 28, 1988, Bev
Gilmartin opened her doors for the first
time with only three Hanover Public School's staff members children enrolled
in the program. Since then, hundreds of
Hanover Kindergartners and children of
Hanover Public Schools staff have successfully
participated in this enriching program.
Congratulations to everyone! |

| The TePee Program, named after the Hanover High School sports logo, is located at Cedar Elementary School. TePee offers a full-day program for four-year old children of Hanover Public School Staff and a half-day program for Cedar School Kindergartners. The Program was created in 1988 and is supported through tuition paid for by the parents of the children in the program. TePee provides a variety of rich experiences and stimulating activities including arts and crafts, computers, songs and finger plays, games, circle-time, story-time, indoor and outdoor play. The TePee Program runs from Monday through Friday, following the same holidays, vacations, professional development days, and snow-day cancellations as the Hanover Public Schools. |

There is a $50 registration fee for all children and registration fees are refundable only if we cannot accommodate your child. Applications for enrollment are available at Kindergarten Registration as well on this page (application).
All applications will be date-stamped when received by Mrs. Gilmartin and held until the AM and PM placements for kindergarten are established by Cedar School. Enrollment is based on a first-come, first-served basis and is limited to four and five-day applicants only. Applications received after the program has been set will be placed on waitlist status and processed as space permits. All applicants will be notified in writing as to their child’s acceptance to the program. Upon notification of acceptance to the program, tuition for the first two weeks in September must be paid in order to guarantee placement for September enrollment. Applicants who do not get accepted will automatically be placed on the waiting list. TePee sessions will also reverse in late January when Kindergarten reverses. |

| According to the Hanover Public Schools
Transportation Policy, bus transportation is
limited to SCHOOL TRANSPORT ONLY and
not available between home and TePee.
The bus transportation forms will be provided and must be filled out in its entirety before the start of Kindergarten in September.
AM Kindergartners may take the bus to AM Kindergarten from home, but will need transportation from TePee to home after their afternoon TePee session. If TePee Plus is utilized before AM Kindergarten, one of the TePee staff will escort your child from the TePee room to AM Kindergarten at the appropriate time.
PM Kindergartners must be transported by a parent (or designated person) from their home to TePee in the morning, however, they may take the bus home after the PM Kindergarten session has ended. If you choose to utilize the TePee Plus Program after the PM Kindergarten, one of the TePee staff members will pick up your child from Kindergarten and escort them to the TePee room. |
| |
| With the exception of Tuesday AM Kindergartners (who have lunch during Kindergarten), all children will have their lunch in the cafeteria during their time at TePee. Please provide a boxed lunch and drink or include $.50 for milk in your child’s lunch box. Also include a morning or afternoon snack and drink in the lunch box. |
