The
Center / Sylvester Ledger has
enriched the curriculum of the students that
are part of the “staff” and all those who
are exposed to the newspaper. The “staff”
has followed the writing process of
pre-writing ideas, writing mechanics, the
editing process, and has gained satisfaction
with the two publications so far. Students
have taken part in expository writing,
persuasion articles, how-to instructional
pieces, as well as creative writing,
including poetry. Drawings and pictures have
accompanied many of the articles, which have
involved technology skills such as scanning
personal artwork, importing pictures from
iPhoto, as well as the knowledge to use the
technology equipment.
The Center/Sylvester
School Newspaper is organized and led by
Melissa McGrath, Alicia DiBara and Heather
Butler. Congratulations to all the
students who have worked so hard to publish
the Center/Sylvester Ledgers.
