What is SMART?
Social media impacts the college recruiting process! Learn from social media experts and head coaches from major colege teams! College coaches, college athletes, and social media experts from Social Mavens (a local digital marketing company that specializes in college athletics), will share information, strategies, and stories about the recruiting and admissions process for college athletes.

Head coaches and current student athletes from Boston University, Holy Cross, Siena College, and Providence College representing basketball, lacrosse, baseball, softball, volleyball, NCAA compliance (and more) will answer questions and share stories about how colleges look at and use social media during the recruiting/admissions process and the negative impact that can result from just one mistake.

Why Attend This Event?
Many high school student athletes want to participate in college athletics at some level, and all students with college aspirations put these plans at risk if their social media profile raises concerns with recruiters, admissions officers, and future employers. We are excited to offer this free and exclusive opportunity as part of our “Choose Presence” campaign to help support students and families as we all navigate the challenges of our digital lives. This event is intended to provide practical information as well as serve as a reality check for student athletes and their families as they look forward to college and beyond. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend with your child on Wednesday, October 18th at 7:00PM at Hanover High School.
