On November 10, 2008, the eighth grade went on  an exciting field trip to the interactive museum called The Hall at Patriot Place. Upon arrival, they had a surprise visitor, Tedy Bruschi.

During academic support periods, eighth grade students read Mr. Bruschi's book Never Give Up. Mr. Bruschi was very gracious and encouraged the students to ask questions about his book or life as a football player. He responded in an informative and personal way by recognizing the students by name and often commenting how thoughtful the questions were.

After Mr. Bruschi left, he was invited to the Dale and Holley show on WEEI where he told the hosts that he was very impressed with the questions and how well educated the students at Hanover Middle School were.
