Community members, educators, and students celebrated the 17th Annual Howie Nyman Memorial Scholarship Saint Patrick's Day Party and Dinner Dance at the Abington V.F.W. Hall on March 17, 2008.

The event featured live music performed by Jim and Bob Silvia, Dan Clark, and Richard Swift along with an excellent traditional Irish dance performance by Maura Nevins' Step Dancers.

State Representative Robert Nyman welcomed Governor Deval Patrick, Lieutenant Governor Tim Murray and many other commonwealth officials to honor the high school seniors who were awarded the Howie Nyman Memorial Scholarship.
