Cedar Update 10/15/18

Cedar School Council

We are seeking parent and community representatives for the Cedar School Council.  School Council is a tremendous opportunity to learn more about the Cedar School and to contribute to important decision making.  The responsibility for school council members is to assist principals in:

  1. Adopting educational goals for the school that are consistent with local educational policies and statewide student performance standards
  2. Identifying the educational needs of students attending the school
  3. Reviewing the annual school building budget
  4. Formulating a school improvement plan

This year we are holding Cedar School Council elections the week after parent conferences.  We will be looking for new parents, community representatives and staff members to join. Please call, email or stop by my office during conferences if you, or someone you know, is interested in running for a spot on the Cedar School Council.  

Information about voting for Cedar School Council will be sent out after parent conferences on Tuesday, October 23, 2018.

Online Book Fair

If you or your child are not able to attend the Cedar School Book Fair, maybe a book they wanted was out of stock, or you just would like to purchase additional books, we invite you to shop our Book Fair through October 25th.  Online fair purchases are shipped FREE to Cedar School and will still help towards our school’s sales goal!

School Store at Conferences

The Hanover School Store will be at the Cedar School Book Fair tomorrow, Tuesday, October 16th from 1:00 - 8:00 PM.  Stop by to pick up a sweatshirt for the cooler weather, do some early holiday shopping or just treat yourself to something and show your Hanover pride.  Hope to see you there!
