Center School 2020 Boosterthon Fun Run
This year the Hanover PTA has once again partnered with Boosterthon for our Spring Fundraiser at the elementary schools. We have had two very successful years with this program and are looking forward to partnering with them again. The Boosterthon Fun Run program involves a week long character and spirit building program with a quick and easy pledge driven fundraiser that culminates with a fitness focused Fun Run for students.
The program is easy. Students participated in a kick off Pep Rally today and when we return from school break they will meet the Boosterthon Spirit Team and bring home pledge packets with all the instructions to set up their pledge pages. The program will run for 10 days and students will be encouraged to reach classroom and school wide goals. Members of the Spirit Team will be in school every day, encouraging the students and teaching them about the 6 character traits in addition to helping out in the building anyway they can.
The money raised with this fundraiser supports all students in Hanover Schools! We have set a $50,000 goal townwide and are confident we can achieve this. Children are asked to reach out to family, and friends for pledges toward their individual goal of $35 each. Then children will run 30-35 “laps” on the mini Fun Run Glow course on March 4th. Reaching their individual goal is easy… collect $1.00 per lap from one sponsor, $.50 per lap from 2 sponsors and so on. Students may also collect flat donations for participating in the run….collect a handful of $5 flat donations and they are doing great! Students can easily help us reach our goal with just 5-8 sponsors! We will have special incentives for classes to reach goals together, as well as fun spirit prizes when the school hits certain milestones (no homework anyone?)
We hope you will support the students and the Hanover PTA during this campaign. Funds raised help pay for fun events we hold in the school, in-house field trips like Top Secret Science, technology purchases, special programs and so much more that enriches your child’s school experience.
