August 3, 2017
Construction project is officially underway by Brait Construction.

October 1, 2016
Town ballot vote on whether or not to approve remaining funding ($16.4 million) to finance the project.

September 26, 2016
The Town will hold a special town meeting on whether or not to support the project based on the Project Funding Agreement from the MSBA.  (View the Special Town Meeting Warrant with Commentary)

July 20, 2016
The MSBA voted to approve the schematic design and awarded Hanover a $15.8 million grant toward the renovation of Center School. The total project cost is $32.4 million.  (Read the full MSBA press release)

Spring 2016
In Module 4, the Architects and Owners Project Manager will develop the proposed cost of the Preferred Schematic Design and work toward a Project Funding Agreement with the MSBA. 

May 4, 2015
Selected members of the HPS Administration, Town Officials, The School Building Committee, MVG Architects, and the Owners Project Manager met with public safety officials to review project details. 

Late April/Early May 2016
Selected members of the HPS Administration, Teachers, and MVG Architects met to discuss classroom and space design aspects.

March 30, 2016
The MSBA voted to move the Center/Sylvester Building Project onto Module 4: The Schematic Design and Funding Phase of the process.

March 9, 2016
Selected members of the HPS Administration, Town Officials, the School Building Committee, MVG Architects, and the Owners Project Manager attended a meeting at the MSBA office in Boston to provide an overview of the Preferred Schematic Design submittal and answer questions from the MSBA Panel. 

December 1, 2015
Town of Hanover submitted Module 3: Preferred Schematic Design to the MSBA.  The MSBA is currently reviewing our submittal.

November 30, 2015
Hanover School Building Committee voted to adopt design option 8A as the Preferred Schematic Design at this stage in the project.  The schematic drawings are posted on this webpage.

November 23, 2015
Hanover School Building Committee convened to consider proposed Schematic Designs for the proposed Center School. Mount Vernon Group Architects provided several options for the committee to consider.

October 28, 2015
Hanover School Committee voted to change the grade configuration of Cedar School to PreK-1 and Center School to grades 2-4 effective with the completion of the project in order to provide the greatest educational benefit to Hanover students.
