Hollywood Comes to Hanover this Summer!

The Town Manager and School Superintendent would like to inform Hanover residents that LD Entertainment will be shooting scenes for an upcoming Netflix movie at Hanover High School between August 15th and August 21st.

The title of the movie is “The Sleepover” and this is a major film production for Netflix.  "The Sleepover" is a family-friendly action-comedy set in a small New England town.  At the peak of filming, there will be several production trucks and over 200 personnel on location.  We have not yet been informed by Netflix who is in the cast - we are not keeping any secrets!

Most importantly, we are working with the High School Principal and Athletic Director to ensure that our normal summer activities will continue without significant impact on students, staff, facilities, and community members.  Hanover Police and Fire will be on-site for public safety and traffic control throughout the project.

The Town of Hanover will be reimbursed fully for any direct costs we incur.  We will also receive compensation for our hospitality that will be reinvested in services/capital needs for both the town and school departments.

We are confident that this film will be a fun project for Hanover, and that it will have a positive impact on our school and community.

As more details emerge, we will share that information via the normal communication channels.  Homeowners living close to Hanover High School will receive additional information in the weeks ahead.
