Join Us for Dr. Michael Rich: "The Mediatrician"

As part of our continuing message of "Choosing Presence", please join us on Thursday, October 4th at 7:00 PM at Hanover High School, for a presentation and discussion with Dr. Michael Rich, "The Mediatrician".  Dr. Rich will be here to answer your questions about how to keep the lines of communication open as we continue to adjust to a technology-saturated world.  He will provide research-based answers to parents' questions about media use in children of all ages, and provide concrete tips and strategies about using technology responsibly and safely.

This presentation will provide information that is relevant for parents of students from preschool through high school and beyond. Dr. Rich is a pediatrician who specializes in the impact, both long and short term, of all forms of media (television, video games, social media, and cell phone use).   He is the Founder and Director of the Center on Media and Child Health at Boston Children's Hospital and Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School and Harvard School of Public Health.  If you have questions about whether to allow your five year old to use an iPad or about how to help manage the social media use of your teenager, this presentation will be of benefit to you.
