Notification of Aerial Mosquito Control

Mosquito Leaf

Please see the message below from the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources regarding aerial mosquito control that will be taking place in Plymouth County over the next several nights.

Sincerely,

Matthew Ferron
Superintendent of Schools

I am reaching out to alert you that the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources announced that a second aerial pesticide application will be taking place. This is aimed at reducing mosquito populations to limit the incidence and spread of EEE infection. You can find and read the Press Release

This application is scheduled to begin on Wednesday evening (weather dependent) in Bristol and Plymouth counties. Please note that not all towns within Bristol and Plymouth counties are in the spray area and that some towns listed may only be partially sprayed.  For more information please visit: Aerial Mosquito Control Guide and Emergency Response Aerial Spray Map

You are receiving this notice because 333 CMR 14.00 requires that notification be given when pesticides are used on school property.  MDAR has attached an emergency waiver, standard written notification and consumer information bulletin in this email.  You may find the fact sheet for the product at the following website: Aerial Mosquito Control Product FAQ
