Policy Subcommittee

The Policy Subcommittee was established in May 2022 by the School Committee to review and revise the current Hanover Public Schools Policy Manual. Members include Ruth Lynch and Kristen Cervantes, members of the School Committee, and Field Director Jim Hardy of the Massachusetts Association of School  Committees.

All policies must reflect best practices, be aligned with State Laws, and must not be in conflict with current contracts and handbooks of the Hanover Public Schools. Staff, parents, and the community will have input into this process. This task will most likely not be completed during this school year as there are 12 Sections containing 257 Policies.

Feedback Forum

The Hanover School Committee has begun the process to review and revise/update (where appropriate) the policy manual that sets the expectations for policies to be upheld, district-wide. This work is not to be confused with a procedure. Procedures are determined by the administration and building leadership.
