Hanover High School Home Learning Update - Second Phase 4/5/20

I hope you had a beautiful weekend, and I wish you a wonderful week ahead!

As we set out on the second phase of our home-learning plans, I wanted to touch base on a few items.  You’re probably being bombarded with communications, so I’ll try to keep it short.

  • The high school’s home-learning academic plan has been updated to include guidance counselor and adjustment counselor expectations and an outline of our approaches to special education.  These plans will be updated in detail throughout the week, as we work our way through our first week of our revised approach to home learning.
  • These plans can also be found on our new district website, a source for home-learning resources for all students.  The site is accessible from our regular school homepage, and to access the site, click on the button called Home Learning, https://www.hanoverschools.org/home-learning
  • These times are difficult, no doubt.  Any families in need of meal assistance, please contact: foodoutreach@hanoverschools.org or call: 781-878-0786 ext. 6100
  • I understand that some students have pre-registered for driver’s education classes – virtually, of course.  These classes are scheduled over the days of our original April break.  Teachers are aware of this conflict, and will work with students to manage both obligations that week.  Students, however, must reach out to their teachers this week to arrange expectations.

That’s it for now.  Please be warm.  Please be safe.
