Medication Pickup

Please note that all medications must be picked up from school by a parent/guardian when the medication is not longer needed. This includes:

  • When the medication is discontinued
  • At the end of the school year
  • When a child withdraws from school

To facilitate a smooth close to the academic year, I  will be available in the health office until the end of the school day on the last day of school, this year, that is 11:00 am, June 19, 2019. Please make arrangements to pick up medications during school hours. Any medication that is not picked up by the end of the school day on the last day of school will be discarded. This includes all unclaimed pills, inhalers, EpiPens, as well as topical ointments and lotions.

If your child will be attending a summer program, please pick up the medication and deliver it to the school your child will be attending in the summer. School staff cannot transport medications.

Medications cannot be sent home with your child.

Please call if you have any questions or need to make special arrangements to pick up your child’s medication.

Sincerely,

Joelle Casey RN, BSN, NCSN
