Center School Council Ballot 2025-2026
About the Candidates
Jessica Feenan
As a parent of two children in Hanover Public Schools, a 6th grader and a 2nd grader, I have seen first-hand the dedication of the faculty, staff, and administration, and recognize how important it is for parents to have a voice in shaping the school community. Professionally, I serve as a Director of Development for a local non-profit, where I lead efforts in fundraising, stakeholder engagement, and building strong partnerships. These experiences have equipped me with skills in collaboration, communication, and resource development that I believe will be valuable to the Center School Council. Combined with my personal commitment to ensuring that all children have the support and opportunities they need to succeed, I am eager to contribute my perspective and expertise to the Council’s work.

I would like to serve on the Center School Council to become more involved and to gain a deeper understanding of the educational needs and programs being offered to Hanover students. I would like to contribute to initiatives that promote a positive school culture, build upon communication within the community, and to stay actively involved in my child's education.
As a mother of three and an educator with 19 years of experience, I believe I bring a unique perspective to the Center School Council. My background has given me a deep understanding of the challenges and needs of both students and parents, which helps me advocate for all aspects of the school community. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with students at all levels, allowing me to develop the skills needed to effectively communicate and support diverse learners.
Additionally, as a parent, I’m passionate about ensuring that all students have the resources and support they need to succeed. I’m committed to fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment, and I’m confident that my experience in education, along with my ability to listen, problem-solve, and work with others, would make me a strong asset to the council.

I would like to be involved in helping the school by listening and bringing ideas if needed. I care about the well-being of students, staff, and community, and see this as a way to be involved in something I care about and want to support.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has experience working with children, teachers and community members in various capacities. I am trained to navigate and communicate about complex topics while maintaining an open mind. I also have over 20 years of teaching, instruction and coaching experience in the outdoor industry for children and adults. I am a collaborative person who can work well in team environments, and I value supporting the community.

I found an immense sense of purpose fighting for HPS with Invest in Hanover during the two override cycles and am looking for new ways to volunteer my time on behalf of the schools, students, teachers and staff, and parents.
During the work week, I am the Operations Manager of Encore Specialty Foods, my family business. Managing daily operations for a small business means I wear many hats. My day may start with customer order processing and coordinating logistics, then quickly turn into sourcing products and meeting with foreign vendors, while simultaneously designing product labels, ensuring FDA QA compliance, and coordinating every element of our next national trade show. While these may all sound like vastly different responsibilities, each one relies on another to ensure the operational continuity that I oversee.
Through my volunteer work with Invest in Hanover, I became deeply invested in learning about municipal finances, how our town budgets operate, and what it takes to advocate effectively for the needs of specific departments in town. I felt an incredible sense of pride and purpose knowing that my time and skillset would directly benefit my son, and the community that we are so happy to call home. I believe that combining my experience as an operational problem solver and dedicated Hanover volunteer makes me a great fit for the Center School Council.

I’d like to be involved in my children’s life. A large part of their time away from home is at school. I’d like to be involved in any way possible for the support and betterment of my children and their classmates.
I’ve worked in the utility industry for 15+ years and have worked with budgets/project planning / zoning plans with multiple municipalities.
