Cedar School Curriculum Night Information 9/26/23

This message is to provide you with more information about the Cedar Curriculum Night scheduled for Thursday, September 28, 2023. Curriculum Night is an educational open house that takes place at the beginning of the school year. Parents have the opportunity to receive critical information that will benefit their child’s learning throughout the year. At Curriculum Night, you can expect the following:

• Teachers will share information on classroom routines, expectations, and home-school communication.
• Teachers will share information on grade-level curriculum.
• The opportunity to meet your child’s teacher and have the chance to ask questions.
• The opportunity to meet the parents/guardians of your child’s peers and get familiar with your child’s learning environment.

Curriculum Night will be segmented into two sections in order to accommodate the number of families and parking at Cedar. If there are families that have siblings in different grades, they are welcome to attend both sessions to get the information from the classroom teacher.  Please see the timeline that has been provided below:

Classroom teachers and special education teachers will be located in classrooms. We also encourage you to stop in the cafeteria and visit our specialists and other faculty. The following staff will be located in the cafeteria: special subject teachers, literacy specialists, math coach, service providers, health office staff, Cedar PBS Team, and Cedar PTA. 

As a friendly reminder, this is a parent-only event. If parking is not available when you arrive, please consider parking in the high school complex and walking over. Please enter the building through the doors at the main entrance.
