Cedar School Kindergarten Playdate 2021 8/23/21

We want to welcome you to Cedar School and your child's first official school experience! Please see the attached flyer from the Cedar PTA regarding information about the Kindergarten Playdate that is being held this Thursday, August 26^th. The times are divided up by teams. Please try to arrive during the time slot that your child's teacher is assigned. There will be members of the PTA there to assist you. It will be so much fun! 

On September 1^st, we are inviting the whole school for an open house style walk through. This is optional for all and is an opportunity to walk around to see the school. Teachers will not be present, but please feel free to stop by and look around if you are not familiar with Cedar School! 

• Kindergarten and Preschool 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm
• First Grade 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm

Finally, on September 2^nd, we will be welcoming our Kindergarteners for the first time to Cedar for an orientation visit. Students do not need to bring anything with them. Families will park in the Cedar parking lots (front and back) and will walk Kindergarteners to their teachers. Teachers will be out front with a big sign, as well as staff to help you find them. Parents will have a chance to say a quick hello to their child's teacher, then a quick goodbye to their child. Students will go inside their classrooms and learn and participate in some of the routines they will be experiencing the next day. At the end of the time slot, you will meet your child at the same designated spot you had left them. 

Here are the assigned times:

• A-L Kinders 9:15 am to 11:30 am
• M-Z Kinders 12:15 pm to 2:30 pm

The first day of school for Kindergarten is Friday, September 3^rd. Please keep an eye out for more information about parent drop-off/pick-up procedures coming soon. We are not sure who is more excited for their first day; the staff or the students. We can't wait to meet them all. We are going to have a wonderful year!
