Cedar School Principal Update 6/2/21

We are writing to update you on the plans for the principal here at Cedar next year. We are thrilled to announce that Mr. Garry Pelletier will be serving as interim principal for the 2021-2022 school year.

Mr. Pelletier has decades of experience as an administrator at multiple levels, but most of his career has been spent as an elementary school principal in Weymouth, Norwell, Scituate, and Hanson. He lives locally, and he is well aware of the expectations we have for our school leaders in Hanover. We have every confidence that he will do a great job of supporting staff, students, and families during his time with us. Garry’s experience and work ethic will keep us moving forward, and he has the ability to support all of our programs, literacy efforts, and expectations for working with children and families. Garry, Mrs. McLaughlin, and the Cedar staff will make a tremendous team!

On a personal note, myself, Superintendent Ferron, and Assistant Superintendent St. Ives worked with Garry for years, and we believe you will find him to be very personable, knowledgeable, accessible, compassionate, and present. Garry is a great guy!

Garry visited Cedar today to meet the staff and students. He is looking forward to this exciting challenge and his time with the Cedar School community. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me.

Have a wonderful day!

Sincerely,

Mike Oates
