Cedar School Update 3/3/23

I am writing to clarify one section of the Cedar Connection that was shared last night. When you call Cedar School to report your child’s absence, please contact the Health Office and not the Main Office. 

As a reminder, the following steps should be taken when reporting a student absence:

1. Call the Cedar School at 781-878-7228 by 8:30 am.
2. Select extension #1.
3. Report the following information concerning your child’s absence.
4. Date of absence.
5. Name of student.
6. Classroom teacher.
7. Reason for absence.

We ask that you please call the health office to report your child’s absence even if they are not out due to illness. Explaining the reason for the absence is critical. 

If you know that your child is going to be tardy or picked up early from school, please send a detailed email notifying both the classroom teacher and the staff in the main office at cedaroffice@hanoverschools.org.
