Cedar School Updates 4/1/24

As a reminder, grades and comments for kindergarten and first grade students have been posted in the Aspen Family Portal. The portal is where all report cards, assessment results, and other pertinent information are posted for your child. Please take a moment to review your child’s report card. If you have any questions about accessing the portal, please contact the Cedar School main office at 781-878-7228.

This week is a busy week at Cedar. I have included several reminders below about upcoming events and information happening in the building.

  • This week, our kindergarten and first-grade students will have an early release (1:00 p.m.) on Tuesday and Thursday. Preschool will follow its regular schedule.
  • The Spring Scholastic Book Fair begins today! Cedar will be hosting the Book Fair from April 1st through April 4th. Students will have the opportunity to browse and create a wish list of books during their literacy block to bring home for parent(s)/guardian(s) to review. Families will have the opportunity to browse and purchase books during their conference times this week, as well as the designated times listed below. If you do not have an opportunity to stop in the library during the listed times, please know that you have the option of purchasing books online. Please click on the link below and locate the Shop Now button:
    • Monday, 3:00 - 5:00 pm
    • Tuesday, 1:00 - 4:00 pm
    • Wednesday, 3:00 - 5:00 pm
    • Thursday, 1:00 - 8:00 pm
  • During conferences this week, Mrs. Russo, our art teacher, will be displaying student artwork for visitors to view. The artwork will be set up outside of the student’s designated classroom. Each student will have two pieces of artwork on display. Please consider taking a moment to meet with Mrs. Russo during your conference visit. She would be more than happy to share information about the elements and principles of art that the students are learning about. Mrs. Russo has created a flyer to share more information about the exhibit in the attachment below.

Have a great week!

Best,

Jesse Craddock
