Welcome Back!
We hope you have enjoyed a relaxing summer with friends and family and are ready for what promises to be another incredible year at the Cedar School! We are looking forward to welcoming you and your children back next week. As we complete our preparations for the upcoming school year, we wanted to highlight a few important dates to add to your calendar:
- K-4 Open House/Classroom Visit is Tuesday, September 4th from 2:00-2:45 pm. This is an opportunity for you and your child to stop by and see their new classroom. Please note - preschool does not visit on Tuesday. Preschool visits take place on Thursday, September 6th.
- First Day of School is Wednesday, September 5th for students in grades 1-4 and on Friday, September 7th for students in preschool and kindergarten.
- Welcome Back Ice Cream Social is Friday, September 7th 4:30-5:30 pm.
- Curriculum Night is Monday, September 17th. This event is a great way to welcome in the new academic year. Preschool and kindergarten presentations begin at 5:30 pm, followed by a brief parent meeting in the cafeteria at 6:30 pm, and finally the grades 1-4 classroom presentations starting at 7:00 pm. More information will be sent home next week.
On the first day of school your child will come home with a folder of forms and information to be completed and returned to school as soon as possible. Also, please be on the lookout for the PTA Newsletter coming home in your child’s backpack. The Newsletter includes dates for upcoming events and exciting opportunities to volunteer at the Cedar School.
