FACE: Home Alone, Staying Safe HMS Enrichment - Register Today for Class on 2/7/23!

Registration is now open for South Shore Safety's Home Alone, Staying Safe class on Tuesday, February 7th.
“Home Alone, Staying Safe” prepares kids for situations that can happen when staying home alone, from an unexpected knock on the door to a 911 emergency phone call. It will also help ease the minds of families who decide the time has come to leave their kids home alone or with siblings. This comprehensive and fun course, taught by health educators from South Shore Safety, includes:
- Safety to and from school: “street smarts”
- Basic self-defense moves and verbal assertiveness
- Phone safety and calling 911
- Food/cooking safety
- Choking prevention and Heimlich maneuver
- Basic first aid and handling emergencies
- Handling fears
- Lots of prevention!
