Please see the following Grade 6 Camp Squanto Trip Medication information from our school nurses, Mrs. Kristen Crowley and Mrs. Beth MacDougall.

If you have questions or concerns with Camp Squanto Medications, please email Nurse Kristen Crowley at kcrowley@hanoverschools.org or Nurse Beth MacDougall at bmacdougall@hanoverschools.org. You may call the Hanover Middle School main office at 781-871-1122.

Health Office Medications

If you signed off and approved the use of routine medications at school in September on the emergency forms, they will also be available for your child on the trip. These medications include regular-strength Tylenol, Motrin, Hydrocortisone cream, Benadryl, and Tums.

Just like at school, the students are not permitted to hold on to or independently take any medications.

EPI Pens and Inhalers

If your child has either of these prescribed medications at school, they will be brought to camp and kept in the health office at Camp Squanto.

Prescription and Over-the-Counter Medications

If your child takes a prescription or over-the-counter medication regularly, we need a doctor’s order for this to be able to administer at camp. We will need the order and the actual medication delivered to the school by Friday, May 24, 2024. It is required that a parent or guardian hand deliver all medication to the school health office in the original prescription bottle. The bottle should only contain the number of pills that will be taken during the time of the trip. A doctor’s prescription or order is necessary for both prescription and over-the-counter medications (e.g., allergy medication, vitamins, fluoride, stool softeners).

We can now accept doctor’s orders. You can send them to school with your child or email them to kcrowley@hanoverschools.org.

All unused medication should be picked up by the parent or guardian at the school health office upon return. All unclaimed medications will be destroyed.

Sunscreen and Insect Repellent

It is encouraged that students bring both of these items to self-apply.
