Center School Class Placements, Visits, Updates 8/14/23

It is hard to believe summer is moving along so quickly and we are preparing for a new school year. I hope that all of our students and their families have had time for relaxing, traveling, reading, swimming, and getting together with family and friends. We will soon be back to school, learning and playing hard. For now, enjoy these last lazy days of summer!

Placements

On Tuesday, August 15th, placements will be posted in the family portal by 2:00 pm. You will be able to access your child's teacher's name and room number for the upcoming school year. An email will go out to you with directions for the portal and we are available in the office should you have any questions or need support. Please call 781-826-2631.

Student Visits

Student visits have been set for Thursday, August 31st, for students to stop by and meet their teacher, find their classroom, desk, locker, and meet some classmates before the first day of school. Below is a scheduled time for each grade level to drop by. We ask that you limit your visit to the half hour so that we can allow for parking and building access for all grade levels that morning. Thank you for your support!

  • Grade 4 - 8:15-8:45 am
  • Grade 3 - 9:00-9:30 am
  • Grade 2 - 9:45-10:15 am

We will send more communication about the opening of school and the new school year over the next few weeks. I look forward to seeing you all soon.

Warm regards,

Mrs. DeGrenier
Principal

Dear Center Student,

I hope you are enjoying the best of summer! I can't wait to see you in a few weeks and hear all about your adventures, the books you've read, and new things you have learned. I have done lots of gardening and work around my yard. My family took a trip to Chicago to see the Red Sox play at Wrigley Field, and we have done lots of swimming and meeting friends at the beach. Now it is time to get ready for school. Mr. Wilson and I have been in the school getting everything ready for you and your teachers to return for the new school year. I thought you would like to know that the Center School chickens have spent their summer at Ms. O'Donnell's farm in Marshfield and will be coming back and ready to start school with you on Tuesday, September 5th! Our school gardens are in need of some weeding but overall have done well growing carrots, potatoes, sunflowers, and peas.

I hope you enjoy the last few weeks of summer. Do lots of things you love! Swim, read, eat ice cream, and get ready for a great school year!

See you soon,
Mrs. DeGrenier
