Center School Grade 3 and 4 Recorders 1/26/23
We're excited to announce the return of the recorder to the music program at Center School! Typically, we introduce recorders as part of the third-grade music curriculum. Since we have put recorders on hold for the last two years, we decided to introduce them to both grades 3 and 4 so that they would have this introductory instrument experience prior to heading to band/instruments in middle school.
The recorder is a small woodwind instrument and we will be providing a recorder to each student in grades 3 and 4 in music class beginning on Monday, January 30th.
Students are expected to bring their recorder to music class each week. The recorders are clearly labeled with the student's name and classroom teacher. Sheet music and fingering charts will be provided and practicing at home is encouraged! Please remind your child that there is no playing the recorder on the bus.
