Center School Grade 4 Celebration Reminders 6/6/23

Yesterday, students brought home their signature t-shirts to wear to the concert on Thursday evening and again to celebration day on Friday, June 9th. If there is any issue with the size, please let your child's teacher know as soon as possible, and we can make some exchanges. We were short a couple of t-shirt sizes today, and students know they are on the way.

Each student also brought home an envelope with two tickets to Thursday's concert and reception. We have a limited capacity of 210 students plus guests and communicated this in our earlier notice. We are finalizing seating for Thursday evening, and if it is possible to increase the number of guests, we will send a message to families.

Thursday,  June 8th

The concert will be held from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Center School Gym. The gym doors will open to guests at 5:40 pm. Please drop students off at the auditorium at 5:40 pm to warm-up. Students are asked to wear khaki pants, shorts, or skirts and their signature t-shirt

A Reception will follow from 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm in the lobby and cafeteria. Each class will have a display board with artwork and their self-portrait. This is where you will receive your child's certificate and celebration photo. You will find your child's Memory Project hanging in this area too. All Future Me projects are hanging in the cafeteria windows.

*Please take all projects home at the end of the evening.

Friday, June 9th

Rolling Car Parade

  • Grade 4 students only are invited to be dropped off between 8:45 am and 9:15 am going through the car drop-off line.
  • This will be a rolling parade, and students will get out at the end of the line near the bandstand, where their teacher will be waiting!
  • Car decorating is optional but highly encouraged!

TIPS for the Car Parade

  • When you enter the back driveway off Silver Street, keep two lanes. You will merge into one line at the far end of the building.
  • We keep the car line moving and ask that you keep moving forward to the bandstand before letting your child out of the vehicle.
  • Please do not block traffic on Silver Street. If it gets backed up, pull into the church lot or Center main entrance lot and merge back into the line.
  • There will be Hanover Police Officers at the school to help keep the car parade moving along safely.

Following the parade, students will enjoy a day of fun with their friends and teachers. They will have time to hang out with friends, get their Memory Books, have a cookout, and see their video montage. Mrs. Monahan will share the links to all videos on Friday, June 9th.

Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to celebrating your fourth grader with you this week!
