Center School Grades 3 and 4 MCAS Update 3/24/24

Students will be taking their MCAS assessments in ELA and math over the next several weeks. Please refer to the following schedule for the dates that your child will be participating in MCAS testing. On MCAS testing days, your child will have their lunch at the regular lunchtime. Recess and specialist classes will be moved to the end of the day. A good night's rest and hearty breakfast really make a difference for students in preparing for their assessment day. 

Students may bring in a piece or two of hard candy (mints or sugar-free preferred) or gum provided by their parent/guardian. This is often a strategy that is helpful to students on testing days, and we will leave this to the discretion of the parent/guardian. Students are asked not to bring in 'bags of candy' or share what you provided them with classmates.

Students who arrive later than 8:45 am on their testing day will be assigned to a make-up day for that subject test.

Make-up days will be planned as needed.

• Thursday, April 11^th - Grade 4 MCAS ELA
• Monday, May 13^th - Grade 3 MCAS Math
• Tuesday, May 14^th - Grade 3 MCAS Math
• Wednesday, May 15^th - Grade 4 MCAS Math
• Friday, May 17^th - Grade 4 MCAS Math
