Center School Health Update 10/16/20
This message is to inform you that an individual in our Center School Community has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. Although we cannot provide specific information about this person, we can let you know that this person has not been at school this week, and there was no exposure at Center School. We will continue to provide updates on any positive cases as they are confirmed. An extensive contact tracing protocol is followed each time a positive case is confirmed. Any student or staff member that is determined to be a “close contact” will be contacted by the school nurse or a representative from the Hanover Health Department.
Our first priority is to keep our school community safe. Our staff and students have been closely adhering to the safety protocols in place, including mask-wearing, hand-washing, and physically distancing. These measures will greatly reduce the risk of additional transmission.
We have followed all local Public Health, Department of Public Health, and Department of Elementary and Secondary Education protocols, including collaborating with our local Health Department to complete contact tracing.
If more information is required, we will share it with you via our normal communication channels. Thank you for your support in these efforts, and for your continued diligence to keep our community safe.
Sincerely,
Jane DeGrenier
Principal
