Center School News and Updates 11/6/23

This week, students will be recognizing and celebrating Veterans Day during the school day on Thursday. They have worked on projects in IT, learned songs in Music, taken the military obstacle course challenge in PE, and learned about the importance of Veterans Day in the classrooms. Many of you sent in a photo for our Wall of Heroes, which is displayed across from the music room and will remain up until at least January 1^st. We hope that when you are in the building this month or next, you will stop by to see how many people from our families have served our country over the years. It is quite impressive and students are stopping daily to look at all the photos of those who served in the many branches of the military. There are so many stories to share and so much for them to learn about these brave men and women and how they have made it possible for us to experience the freedoms we do today.

Our program on Thursday is for students only and will include poems, Center Scouts, Police and Fire Honor Guard, singing, and guest appearances by the Hanover High School Band and VOX singers. Mrs. Monahan will be sharing a video that captures all that has been going on in our school this past month to learn about Veterans Day and our program on Thursday. We hope that you will take a few minutes on Friday to watch this video with your children and share it with family members, especially those who served.

Farm Stand

The Center School Farm Stand will be open on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm or until sold out. Eggs are only $2.00 this week for a half dozen!

Conferences

Conferences are planned for next week. A sign-up genius was sent out to all families last week. Please contact your child’s teacher if you need to schedule a conference time. Thank you!
