Veteran’s Day Ceremony

Thank you to all of the families who have shared photos of their Veterans for us to display at Center School. Mrs. Monahan has created displays in several showcases in areas of our school where students pass by daily. It is so wonderful to see students stopping to look at the photos, find a relative or ask a question about a photo. Mr. Lindsey and Mrs. Monahan have been working for weeks with the students to put together a tribute to our Veterans for the whole school to participate in this week. We will be joined by the honor guard, high school band, and Vox. This special ceremony is not only a tribute to all those we honor on Veterans Day but a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn more about our country and those who have played a very important role in keeping us safe and proud. Mrs. Monahan will be recording all aspects of the ceremony and the work the students have been doing this month and it will be shared with all families on Thursday, November 11^th. Please take a few minutes to watch this video and share it with those in your family that may be honored to see such a moving tribute for Veterans Day.

Pool Testing Update

Due to holidays and no school on some days during the month of November, pool testing at Center School will take place on Mondays for the remainder of the month. Please note the following dates for pool testing in November:

• Monday, November 8, 2021
• Monday, November 15, 2021
• Monday, November 22, 2021
• Monday, November 29, 2021

The Hanover School Nurses are very pleased once again to collaborate with the Hanover VNA Community Foundation to provide assistance for members of our community this holiday season. Thanks to the Hanover VNA Community Foundation, gift cards will be provided to families upon request. Due to continued concerns about COVID-19, this process will be different from previous years. There will not be an in-person food or gift event. Instead, gift cards will be distributed to families via USPS.

If you feel that your family could benefit from assistance this year to make your November and December holidays even more special, please contact your school nurse by November 8, 2021.
