Center School News and Updates 11/7/22

Thank you for your generous support of our book fair last week. It was great to see so many parents join us for book shopping. We are looking forward to honoring our Veterans this week. Students have been sharing photos of family who served our country and preparing music for a ceremony that we will hold in school on Wednesday.  Stay tuned, Mrs. Monahan will be sharing a special Veteran’s Day broadcast this week.

It is a short week with Tuesday off for a Professional Day for our teachers who will be focusing their learning time on the new reading program, writing, and a deeper look at MCAS and benchmark assessment scores. Friday there will be no school in honor of the Veterans Day holiday.

Donations for the food pantry have been coming in all last week. We are hoping for another big week of donations with the Thanksgiving Food Drive ending on Thursday, November 10, 2022. Thank you to our fourth graders for bringing in their $1. For every $5 a class collects, a turkey gets hung for the class in our lobby windows. We are hoping to raise at least $250 to $300 dollars to donate for families to purchase perishables and turkeys. Your generosity makes a positive difference to our Hanover Community!  Thank you!

PTA Fundraiser

The Hanover Public Schools Holiday Fundraiser at the Toy Box from will be held from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm on Thursday, November 10, 2022. The Toy Box will generously donate 20% of all purchases to the Hanover PTA. The Toy Box offers online orders, virtual shopping via Facetime, and phone orders. Be sure to mention Hanover Public Schools at checkout!
