Center School News and Updates 12/20/22

We are just days away from winter break and wishing you all a happy, healthy time to gather with family and friends this holiday season. Here are some reminders as we wrap up this week.

Winter Carnival is on Friday, December 23^rd and a fun day for students with many winter-themed activities planned thanks to our PTA, Mrs. Gordon and Ms. Sullivan. During the month of December, students have been earning ‘snowbucks’ as a class for STAR behavior and class minutes on i-Ready/Lexia. More ‘snowbucks’ are given out on Friday at the Snow Blizzard Relays and throughout the day! Snowbucks all go into the classes bank for the coveted “Snowbowl Trophy” given out at the winter carnival. Students may wear pajamas for the day and we strongly encourage sneakers for the Snow Bowl relays in the gym. No slippers, please.

Students are voting on a movie for the Winter Carnival on Friday. The vote is by grade and is down to “Ice Age”, “Cloud 9” and “Frozen 2”. The movies are rated G and PG. If you wish to opt your child out from seeing the movie, please email your child’s teacher and they will let us know. Final movie selections for each grade will be announced on Wednesday morning.
