Center School News and Updates 12/5/21

During the month of December, we are preparing for our grade 4 winter concert, grade two holidays around the world, and our snow bowl. Term I closed on Friday, December 3rd, and Monday begins Term II. We are proud of the hard work our students are doing in reading and math to advance their learning this school year. Analysis of our assessment data reviewed in Term I (MCAS, i-Ready, and DIBELS Next) revealed vocabulary, topic development in writing, and math facts as areas that all of our students in grades two through four will be working on with their teachers to improve their overall all performance levels. Your support at home with completing weekly reading, practicing math facts for fluency, and completing weekly minutes on i-ready will go a long way in helping your child make progress in their grade level curriculum.

Work pick-up for students with extended absences can be arranged with the classroom teacher. All work will be left in the vestibule at the main entrance which will remain open from 7:45 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Parents need current CORI/SORI forms to be on file in order to volunteer in the school or chaperone a field trip. If you are not sure if you have an active CORI or have not completed a SORI, please do so as soon as possible so you are ready when the time comes that you would like to volunteer. If you are unsure of the status of your CORI/SORI, please reach out to Mrs. Pellegrino (dpellegrino@hanoverschools.org or 781-826-2631) and she can check for you. The office is open daily 7:45 am to 3:45 pm for any parent wishing to complete these forms.
