Center School News and Updates 2/17/23

What a great week! Student Leadership League implemented a kindness campaign where they made and distributed hearts throughout the building. Hearts were floated around the building. If you received one you wrote your name on the back and then passed it on to another. 

Community Meeting this week was the theme of love and kindness and included a story called “Somebody Loves You Mr. Hatch”.

On Tuesday we had a “principal for the day” who won this prize in a raffle at the music fundraiser. It was great having Katherine (Katie) Pragluski take the lead for the day. She started the day with morning announcements, visited classrooms, passed out star bucks, joined community meeting, attended lunches, and provided a big smile and lots of positive comments to students all day long!

The window for administering MCAS this year will be March 27^th - April 28^th for ELA and April 24^th - May 26^th for Math. Center School has scheduled MCAS assessments on the following dates:

• Grade 3 ELA: Friday, March 31^st and Wednesday April 5^th.
• Grade 4 ELA: Tuesday, April 11^th and Wednesday April 12^th.
• Grade 3 Math: Wednesday, May 17^th and Friday May 19^th.
• Grade 4 Math: Monday, May 15^th and Tuesday, May 16^th.
