Center School News and Updates 3/27/23

Congratulations to Mrs. Cass and all of our second graders on a fabulous art show. Their projects were amazing and we were so happy to see many families (including grandparents, friends, etc.) stop by and view the art!

• We have begun a partnership with Holly Hill Farm. Bruce Frost has been leading the group from Holly Hill and last week built new garden beds out behind Center School and in the courtyard. Last Friday, fourth graders cleaned out and planted sugar snap peas in our existing garden beds. Third graders will be planting ‘greens’ on Wednesday, and we will be scheduling our second graders to begin planting in the near future. Stay tuned for updates on “how our garden grows”!
• In addition to our partnership with Holly Hill Farm, we have taken on some egg chicks that we will be raising to house in our chicken coop with the hopes of having eggs for our kitchen to use for cooking and to donate to the community. We are a ways away from collecting our first eggs, so stay tuned for updates on our Center School Chickens. The chicks will be in their brooder and out in the lobby if you wish to take a peek during conferences!
