Center School News and Updates 5/14/23

Penny Wars was a huge success thanks to all the enthusiasm from our students! We can only imagine how many piggy banks were tapped, drawers cleaned, or cars scoured! It paid off, and the students had a blast! Our penny wars raised $7,114.48 for sports day. We will be getting all of our bouncy equipment again and then some! Thank you all! And that’s not all! Ms. Lastowka’s class won with the most pennies after all of her silver and dollars were deducted; they had $68.12. And the class with the most money in the jar was Mr. Lovell’s class, with $856.49. Thank you again for supporting this event for the students. It was fun and profitable, and we can’t wait for Sports Day!

Week two of the “stocking up for summer”  donations was incredible! We filled 35+ reusable shopping bags with the donations collected. Ms. Robbin’s class will walk the bags over to the food pantry on Monday morning. Week 3 of our summer stock-up begins Monday with the collection of cereal, pasta, and rice (please feel free to include mac/cheese in this collection also!) Our lobby windows are filling up with sunshine, and we thank you for your generosity!

The book fair kicks off on Wednesday through Friday next week. Notices with all the details are attached to this message. Parents/guardians are invited to join their child’s class
