Center School News and Updates 9/5/22

We are very excited for the first day of school tomorrow, Tuesday, September 6, 2022!  Below are some reminders to help make the first week go as smoothly as possible. We can't wait to see our students in the morning!

School Lunch

Lunches are free to all students who wish to order lunch from the cafeteria. Students may also bring their lunch from home and milk is available. View the September lunch menu.

Bus Routes

Bus Routes are published on the website. The weather looks a rainy for tomorrow morning so that may slow things down a bit. Please be patient as the routes may take a little longer than usual as everyone says their goodbyes on day one!  Thank you for your support.

Vehicle Drop-off and Pick-up

Enter from Silver Street into the second driveway (this is a one-way only driveway); go along the back of the building, through the parking lot, and turn right so that the building is on your right.

  •  Pull up all the way to the first stanchion. This will allow us to unload several cars at once.
  • Students should exit the car on the passenger's side only.
  • Drop-off is from 8:15 am to 8:30 am.
  • If you need more time for drop-off, please pull around to the front of the building, park, and walk your child to the main entrance.

  • Annual parent/guardian sign-off sheet - Please complete this form and submit it by Friday, September 9, 2022.
  • PTA Volunteer Opportunities
  • Class Directory - Submit one form for each child in your family. Please complete this form by Thursday, September 8, 2022.
  • Help wanted - We are looking for 2-3 volunteers to paint some outdoor stencils on the blacktop for recess games (four square, hopscotch, etc). This can be done before, during, or after school hours as soon as the rain passes and the blacktop is dry. We have the stencils and the paint! Please email Mrs. Pellegrino if you are able to help out (dpellegrino@hanoverschools.org) and she will get you set up.

Important Dates

  • Tuesday, September 6th - First day of school for students (full day of school); 8:30 am - 3:00 pm.
  • Monday, September 12th - Picture Day, Grades 2-4.
  • Thursday, September 22nd - Curriculum night (parents only); 5:30 pm  - 7:30 pm
