School News 9/30/18

We have a busy week ahead and I have included some highlights below.  I have also attached the October calendar and the book fair schedule for your planning purposes.  On Monday afternoon, the link for sign-up genius will go out to all parents so that you can sign up for parent/teacher conferences.

On Monday, October 1st, we will host our first visit with the Teaching Learning Alliance (TLA for short going forward).  They will be meeting with classroom teachers, reading specialists, and special education teachers, along with demonstrating a model lesson in one of our first grade and fourth grade classrooms.  We are excited to take these first steps and will continue to provide ongoing communication about the literacy work that is taking place at our school.

• Tuesday 10/2-SEPAC meet and greet at 7pm, Center Cafeteria
• Wednesday 10/3-Center/Sylvester School Council meeting, 3:30-4:30, Center Conference Room;  Community Cookout 2pm-6pm
• Thursday 10/4-PTA meeting at 9:30am at Center;  Mediatrician 7pm, HHS Auditorium
