Start with Hello Week

“To the world you may be one person; but to one person you may be the world.” ~Dr. Seuss

“Start with Hello” week kicks off on Monday, September 24th and continues through Friday September 28th.  This week is planned to continue our ongoing work of creating a school community where all students feel recognized, included, and an important member of our school.  Hundreds of schools across our country will be taking part in activities throughout the week that aim at building connections and combating social isolation. “Start With Hello Week”is the perfect opportunity to welcome students back to school and to engage students around sustaining a culture of inclusiveness and connectedness throughout the school year.

Our week will kick off on Monday with a community meeting for all grades K-4 to introduce this message to all of our students. Throughout the week, we will continue with a different activity each day that enables our students to make a difference with their peers in a simple, fun, and impactful way by encouraging them to take a small but powerful action to promote connectedness and inclusion.
