Bus Reassignment

Over the last two months, we have been monitoring the bus ridership of the 14 HMS busses.   Due to an overcrowding on several busses, we have to make some changes to ensure all of our students ride to and from school safely.  Stephen Ingle from the Ingle Bus company has worked with the HMS administration to audit the busses and has created alternate routes with minimal changes.  If you are receiving this message, your student’s bus and possible pick-up or drop-off time has been changed.  We have not changed any of the actual stops.  Today we met with your child/children to give them their new bus and times.  The plan is for changes to take effect on Wednesday, November 7th.  I understand that any change in the middle of the year is not ideal, but bus safety is the #1 priority.  Please know that the bus enrollment in week 8 looks significantly different from the middle of August when the original routes are created.   Should you have any questions and concerns, please contact me.
