Guidance Resources

Welcome to HMS!

Welcome to Hanover Middle School! We wanted to take a moment to introduce ourselves to you. Students are assigned to a Guidance Counselor by grade and this notice is to let you know who we are, what we do, and where you can find us.

This school year, Mrs. Chebator will work with grades 5 and 7 and Mrs. Ward will work with grades 6 and 8.

Students, this is an exciting time in your life.  During the next few years, you will face new challenges and grow in many ways.  You will gain a great deal of academic knowledge, develop more independence, and form new friendships.

Sometimes, it is helpful to talk with someone about your ideas and concerns.  Usually, you share many of your thoughts with your family or friends, but you also have someone here to talk with at school.  Students and parents can make appointments to discuss a variety of topics from small issues to major concerns. For example, we meet with students and parents (alone and/or together) to discuss:

  • Academics Divorce
  • Adolescent Concerns
  • Home Difficulties
  • Bus Problems
  • Peer Conflicts
  • Friendships
  • Social Concerns
  • Anxiety
  • Loss of a Loved One
  • and many other topics

If you would like to schedule an appointment, feel free to stop by the Guidance Office (in the lobby area). You may also call us in the Guidance Office at 781-878-2718.

Thank you! We look forward to a great year together!
