Hanover Middle School Conferences Reminder 11/2/23
This message is intended for HMS parents/guardians who have an Aspen account and want to schedule a conference.
If you have not already created an account on the new Halix platform, you should do so right away. You will need an account to use the Halix application to schedule a conference. You must use the email address associated with your Aspen account, which is the same email address at which you receive SchoolMessenger notices.
The remainder of this email is a copy of the email we sent you on Tuesday, October 31, 2023.
Parent/Guardian and Teacher Conferences at the Middle School are scheduled as follows:
- Tuesday, November 7th, Afternoon
- Wednesday, November 8th, Evening
- Thursday, November 9th, Afternoon
We have continued to make improvements to conference scheduling. This year, we have moved to a new platform powered by Halix.io, which also powers Hanover's FACE registration, so you may already be familiar with the new platform.
If you have not used the Halix platform yet, then you will need to create an account. When creating an account, you must use the email address that we have on file. This is the email address at which you receive SchoolMessenger notices (like the email that you are reading now), as well as the email that is associated with your Aspen account, which allows you to see grade data in Aspen as well as receive email notifications from School Messenger.
The URL for booking conferences is https://hanover-appts.myhalix.io.
We ask that you create/test your Halix account at your earliest convenience. Please log in today, tomorrow, or Thursday morning - in the unlikely event that you need help – before conference booking “goes live” on Thursday at 6:00 pm. Please see the attachment for specific directions to help you with Halix account creation.
As you may know, conference time slots are selected quickly (once the application opens for conference booking), so we hope that you test your account before the application officially opens for booking on November 2nd at 6:00 pm.

If you cannot schedule a conference due to unavailability, we ask that you contact your child’s teacher directly. Our teachers will make it a priority to schedule a time for your meeting.
