Hanover Middle School End-of-Year Medication Pick Up 6/8/23

As a reminder, all medications must be picked up from school by a parent/guardian when the medication is no longer needed. This includes when the medication is discontinued, at the end of the school year, and when a child withdraws from school.

To facilitate a smooth close to the academic year, the school nurse will be available in the health office until the end of the school day on the last day of school. Please make arrangements to pick up medications during school hours. Any medication that is not picked up by the end of the school day on the last day of school will be discarded. This includes all unclaimed pills, inhalers, EpiPens, as well as topical ointments and lotions.

I will be available immediately upon our return from Camp Squanto to expedite a timely return of medications. Please stop by the health area outside of the main school entrance
prior to leaving with your student.

If your child will be attending a summer program, please pick up the medication and deliver it to the school your child will be attending in the summer. School staff cannot transport medications.

Please call if you have any questions or need to make special arrangements to pick up your child’s medication.

Sincerely,

Joelle A. Casey, RN, BSN, NCSN
