Hanover Middle School Grade 8 Washington DC Trip Grouping Survey 4/6/23

Our grouping process for rooms, chaperone groups, and buses begins today, April 6, 2023. Students will be sent an invitation to a Google form, in which they will provide 6 choices of acceptable roommates along with the option to identify someone as a person they would prefer not to room with. This survey will close on Monday, April 10th, at 2:15 pm. Students will receive an individualized email informing them of their room, chaperone, and bus on Friday, May 26th, at 2:15 pm.

The student survey is one of many sources we use to create the different groupings. The process is challenging and will seldom result in perfect groups. We ask for patience and understanding throughout the process of grouping. We guarantee that students will be in a room with at least one of their choices, and if they identify another student as someone not to be roomed with, they won't be (this other student may, however be on the same bus). As this is a school field trip, we must remind students and families that these groups are made to benefit the entire community of learners. We urge you to speak with your child about the need to be flexible and understanding with this aspect of the trip. We will host a DC parent meeting at Hanover Middle School on Wednesday, May 24th, at 5:30 pm.

If you have questions about any of the above or anything related to the DC trip, please feel free to contact me.
