Hanover Middle School MCAS Results 10/12/23

Over the next two days, you should be receiving your student’s MCAS results. The MCAS assessment was given in English Language Arts and Mathematics to students in grades 3-8 and Science in grades 5 and 8.

The four scoring categories are exceeding expectations, meeting expectations, partially meeting expectations, and not meeting expectations. Please take some time to go over the included MCAS Parent/Guardian Report with your child. It is important to celebrate successes as well as discuss areas for improvement.

Massachusetts has the best public school system in the country, and providing students with an ongoing measure of their readiness for the next grade level is an important tool to support their learning and our work as educators. To learn more about the MCAS and to help understand your child's score, visit MCAS Resources for Parents/Guardians or DESE MCAS Results.

General questions about MCAS results can be directed to the Office of Student Assessment at mcas@doe.mass.edu

If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s results, please reach out to your child’s teacher via email or me at dbirolini@hanoverschools.org or by calling 781-871-1122.

Sincerely,

Daniel Birolini
