Hanover Middle School Washington D.C. Trip and Dinner Dance Celebration Updates 6/8/23

Washington D.C. Trip Update

Happy Final Day! Yesterday was a great day! We spent the majority of the day in downtown D.C. and we saw and learned so much. We visited the Capitol Grounds, the Lincoln, Vietnam, Korean War, World War II, Washington Memorials, the Holocaust Museum, the American Art Museum, and then we ended our touring day with a visit to the Air and Space Museum in Dulles and that place was awesome. Our evening included a pizza party and we went off to bowling and laser tag. The kids had a blast. Throughout the day, your kids were amazing, and we received multiple compliments from numerous people as we traveled.

Today we are off to tour Gettysburg and wrap up our wonderful week with a trip to Hershey Park. Please know that we are watching the concerns of smoke and air quality that is all over the news. Our nurse staff have been working with students with any health concerns to make sure they are equipped, supported, and safe. Both Gettysburg and Hershey Park are open, but with everything else, we will monitor the situation closely. We will notify parents and guardians of any change of plans. The wonderful part of having our own buses is that we have the ability to make changes as needed.
