Teacher Assignments

Welcome back to a new school year!  Today our Aspen family portal is going live at noon with homeroom assignments for the upcoming school year.   Your team can be accessed by going on the staff directory page.   Later today you wills receive an email with your Aspen account username and password as a reminder of how to access the family portal.  If you have any difficulty, please just send an email explaining your issue to helpdesk@hanoverschools.org and a member of our technology department will respond to your request for assistance so that you can gain access to your family portal. 

I am pleased to announce and congratulate Mrs. Stephanie Murphy as she will be moving into the Middle School Special Education Administrative position.  Mrs. Murphy is a talented educator who has worked at HMS for the last fourteen years as a special education teacher at all levels and also served as the HMS Special Education Coordinator for a year.  She will make a wonderful addition to the HMS Administrative team and I am thrilled to have her. 

Attention 5th grade students, parents, and guardians, there will be a 5th grade open house on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 from 1:00-2:00 pm.  It is a time for 5th graders to meet their teachers, take a tour, have pizza and get comfortable with their new school (please notify me if your child has any food allergies or restrictions and is planning to attend). And for the parents, there will be another 5th grade parent informational night on Wednesday August 21 2019, at 5:30 pm in the HMS cafeteria. This gathering will be very similar to the spring meeting. The purpose is to meet the administrative team, hear about the middle school, and to answer any questions you may have.

On Thursday, August 22, 2019, we will be mailing home to families of students on IEPs or 504 plans some additional information regarding staffing assignments for service delivery.  This will provide you with the names of staff who will be working with your child and/or the primary contact person for the team.

I hope that all of our HMS families are enjoying this wonderful summer but I am more than excited to see all of our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade leaders and welcome in our new middle school students back at school on September 4th. Please enjoy the rest of the summer and contact me with any and all questions, ideas, or concerns.
