Center School News and Updates 3/15/22

On Friday, students brought home a copy of our school-wide behavior plan (see attached).

We continue to see the effects socially and behaviorally that have impacted our students as a result of being away from typical and predictable learning in a school setting during the pandemic. The staff and administration have met and discussed the current needs of our student body and recognize the need to reignite our school-wide behavior plan and expectations coupled with lots of positive reinforcement and support for safe, respectful, and responsible behavior.

Please review the school-wide behavior plan with your child and partner with school staff to provide a positive experience for all students. A positive school atmosphere is necessary to provide an effective educational program for each child. A good school climate is the result of the administrators, teachers, students, and parents/guardians working together.

Thank you for your continued support,

Mrs. DeGrenier

Fun Run Update

The Fun Run wrapped up last week with the celebration glow run in the gym and students really enjoyed this event! The lunch meetings held by the Fun Run leaders were full of excitement and good messages for all students!

Art Fair

A special thank you to Mrs.Cass and our second-grade artists! The first art fair of the year was held last Thursday evening and students couldn’t wait to share their artwork with their parents, grandparents, and siblings. After a long time of not gathering in person for these events, it was wonderful to see so many families, so many smiles, and feel the positive energy as families reconnected or met for the first time!  Thank you to all who attended!

Term II Ending

Term II ends on Friday, March 18th. Report cards will be published in the family portal on Friday, March 25th. IEP progress notes will be sent via esped on Friday, March 25th.

Calling All Leprechauns!

On Thursday, March 17th, all teachers will be handing out special Shamrock STAR cards when they observe students exhibiting safe, respectful, and responsible behavior. At the end of the day on Thursday, students will turn in their Shamrock Star Cards to their teacher to be entered into a raffle. We invite everyone to wear their green. May the luck of the Irish be with us all.
