Hanover High School 2023 DESE Report Card 2/26/24

Each year in Massachusetts, each public school and its district receives a report card. Just as your student’s report card shows how they are doing in different subjects, the school’s report card is designed to show families how our school is doing in other areas. You may view Hanover High School's Report Card at 2023 DESE School District Report Cards.

The report card includes multiple measures of a school’s performance – more than just MCAS scores. It represents a new way of looking at school performance by providing information on student achievement, teacher qualifications, student learning opportunities, and more.

Report cards are designed to be valuable tools for everyone connected to our school. Families can use the information to have meaningful conversations with us about what the school is doing well and where there is room for improvement. Community and education leaders can use the information to better understand how to support students and our school.

We encourage you to become involved in helping us improve our school. We believe parents/guardians are important partners in the academic achievement of our students and in helping them “Soar and Succeed Without Limits.” Some of the ways you can become involved are:

  • Encouraging your student’s learning at home,
  • Using Aspen to regularly check your student’s academic progress,
  • Cheering on our sports teams, attending a musical/play, or listening to the musical talent of the choir and band,
  • Attending teacher conferences and other special meetings,
  • Serving as a Hanover Parent Teacher Alliance member and encouraging others to be involved.

We are grateful for your continued support of our students. For more information about our school’s report card or to request information about how you can be involved, please contact Principal Matthew Mattos. View the Hanover Public Schools District Report Card or search for other schools’ report cards at ReportCards.DOE.Mass.edu.

If you have any questions regarding this document, please reach out to our Assistant Principal for Academics, Mrs. Jaclyn Rooney, at jrooney@hanoverschools.org.

Sincerely,

Matthew Mattos
